Tromsø Guideforening (TGF) invites guides, tourism professionals, partners, local residents, and anyone interested in the development of guiding and tourism in Tromsø to attend our General Assembly.

The General Assembly is the most important annual meeting of the association. It is an opportunity for members and the wider community to learn about the work of Tromsø Guideforening and participate in shaping the future of the organisation.
Agenda highlights
During the meeting we will:
- Present the work and progress of Tromsø Guideforening during the past season
- Discuss future priorities and ongoing initiatives
- Hold elections for several board positions
- Open the floor for questions, feedback, and ideas from the community
What TGF has been working on
Since the association was reactivated, we have been working on several initiatives to strengthen the guide community and support sustainable tourism development in Tromsø. These include:
- Organising open meetings and community gatherings for guides
- Launching a pilot guide training program
- Collaborating with Tromsø Municipality and other stakeholders on Northern Lights tourism guidelines
- Hosting knowledge-sharing events such as Whale Talk with Samuel and a First Aid course for guides
- Organising several dugnad clean-up events
- Developing partnerships with local institutions
- Building our website and communication platform
Our goal is to strengthen cooperation between guides, tourism companies, authorities, and local communities, while raising professional standards in guiding through education, dialogue, and shared responsibility.

Several board positions will be open for election at this General Assembly. We encourage active members of the guiding community to consider getting involved and contributing to the future development of the association.
